Who we are
CarSnap is built by VelFlow, an independent app studio based in Berlin, Germany. For any privacy question, contact support@velflow.de.
What data CarSnap processes
- Photos you take or upload. When you scan a car, the photo is sent to a third-party AI vision service (OpenAI) to identify the vehicle. [Confirm retention: is the image stored, cached, or discarded after the response?]
- Usage data. [List any analytics SDK you actually use, e.g. none / Apple's own analytics / a named provider, and what it collects.]
- Purchase data. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. CarSnap does not see your payment details directly. [Confirm what RevenueCat stores, e.g. anonymous user ID, purchase history.]
- Account data. [State whether CarSnap requires an account/sign-in at all, or works anonymously.]
Why we process it
To provide the core function of the app (identifying a car from a photo), to manage subscriptions, and to keep the app working reliably. [Add legal basis under Art. 6 GDPR, e.g. contract performance / legitimate interest.]
Third parties
- OpenAI — processes submitted photos to generate identification results.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status and entitlements.
- Apple — processes App Store purchases.
[Add a data processing agreement reference for each, and note whether any processor is outside the EU/EEA and under what safeguard, e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses.]
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@velflow.de.
Children
CarSnap is not directed at children under 16. [Confirm your actual App Store age rating and match this statement to it.]
